Since I am on the subject of Antiques, here is an antique table, actually a smoking table with pull out drawers for smokers. I use it as a plant table, I did strip it and stained it American Red Cherry color.


And because this wood is oak, oak tends to make the reddish color stains look more brownish-red. Oak is definately harder wood to absorb stains then other types of wood. You can see the built in ash trays when the drawer is open. I am guessing this table is approximately 40 years old.

This antique cabinet had belong to my husband’s grandparents, I did not refinsh this antique because the top of the cabinet’s wood was damaged. I do use it to hold my Areo garden and keep all of my supplies inside the cabinet.
